- FULL DAY EXCURSION - Llyn
Peninsula
|
|
Frances Llewellyn will be
taking us to the Llþn peninsula this year to visit the
hill forts at Garn Boduan, near Nefyn and at Garn Madryn a
further 3½ miles to the south west. Both ascents
will involve an easy climb of some 700ft and we will walk
the distance between them which will mainly be along
attractive and relatively quiet country lanes. It is
planned to visit various places of interest along the route
and the topography of this part of Wales is of particular
note.
The total distance to be walked is between 6 and 7 miles and
the wearing of walking boots or stout shoes is strongly
advised. Please bring a picnic lunch for our mi-day
stop.
The coach will pick members up at Llangefni library (8.30
am), Llanfairpwll Post Office (8.50 am) or Menai Bridge at
Coed Cyrnol (9.00 am) and we should be back in Llangefni by
9.00 pm.
A meal has been arranged at the Nanhoron Arms Hotel, Nefyn
at approximately 6.30 pm. The total cost for the day
will be £15. Bookings will have to be limited to

We shall then proceed along
